Stairwell

A resident at this senior residence was locked out of her condo after she had started a meal on stove and went out with the door locking behind her. While she was locked out a fire started on the stove. Soon the entire condo was filled with smoke. The fire department had to break in the condo to put out the fire. The resulting fire rendered her apartment unlivable and sent water gushing down six flights of escape stairs.  SERVPRO of Norridge/Harwood Hts. not only cleaned the condo but also all six flights of stairs. When cooking it is very important to always keep watch of whatever is on the stove.
